For 16 years , I have led the development of many programs in Vermont that have created new jobs (in agriculture, food, construction, and energy), wrote law on smart growth and affordable new housing, helped clean the waters of the state, planned and implemented clean energy, and responded to flooding and climate change.

All this work has two things in common:

it is creating a stronger local economy,
one in Vermont's own best long-term interest,
financially and environmentally; and

it is creating stronger, more resilient communities
to thrive in the midst of climate change and
social pressures, such as income inequality,
a housing crisis, and social epidemics, including addiction.

This is work for the long-term good of our state, and I would like to keep at it. First, I need to get re-elected, and to do that,
